Preactiv

Preactiv is an application used by the NHS to help patients get fit before surgery. My primary role was UX design: highlighting user needs within the application and pushing the visual design forward while keeping it accessible for an older audience.

The first goal was to identify the user's purpose when using the app, which directly shaped the user flow and layout. User personas supported this, surfacing possible pain points and triggers for the target audience.

The project ran over seven months. Alongside the UX/UI process I created patient videos and landing pages for the website to promote the application, working closely with team leaders and developers to hand over stylesheets, designs across multiple breakpoints, clickable prototypes and interactions.
